Judah Christian Academy
"Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of God belongs to such as these."
- Luke 18:16
We at Judah Christian Academy believe that no two children are the same, that they are created by God according to his plan and are a gift and a blessing. It is important to us that each child be given the ability to excel in education, according to their own learning ability rather than being pushed forward or held back by age.
The A.C.E. Program
What is A.C.E.?
A.C.E. stands for Accelerated Christian Education - Focusing on PACEs which takes the conventional-style textbook and divides it into bite-sized, achievable booklets, which integrate Godly character-building lessons into the academic content, and self-instructional activities are carefully designed to develop thinking skills and create mastery learning.
How will my child learn through the A.C.E. Program?
In order for a patient to be properly treated, a doctor must provide a diagnosis that should direct the course of treatment. In much the same way, a student’s academic needs must be diagnosed before proper curriculum can be prescribed.
Each student entering the A.C.E. Program is given diagnostic tests to determine a skill and concept mastery baseline. The diagnostic tests assist the evaluator in determining the student’s academic needs in each subject. After the student completes the diagnostic testing, they are given a curriculum that meets and challenges them at their performance level.
Will My Child Receive a Diploma?
Your child will receive an accredited high school diploma if enrolled with our distance learning provider, Lighthouse Christian Academy (LCA). Students who dual enroll will have an advisor to help keep them on track for graduation. LCA maintains official transcripts for each student enrolled.
What Makes A.C.E. Special?
The Five Laws of Learning
The educational concept of A.C.E. was built on five basic laws of learning:
-
Students must be at subject levels where they can perform.
-
Students must set reasonable goals.
-
Students must practice self-controlled learning and be motivated.
-
Learning must be measurable.
-
Learning must be rewarded.
A.C.E. Statement of Faith
We believe in:
-
The plenary, verbal inspiration of the Bible, equally and in all parts and without error
-
The one God, eternally existent Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, Who created man by a direct, immediate act
-
The preexistence, incarnation, virgin birth, sinless life, miracles, substitutionary death, bodily resurrection, ascension to Heaven, and second coming of the Lord Jesus Christ
-
The fall of man, the need for regeneration by the operation of the Holy Spirit through personal faith in Jesus Christ as Saviour on the basis of grace alone, and the resurrection of every person to either eternal life or eternal damnation
-
The spiritual relationship of all believers in the Lord Jesus Christ, living a life of righteous works, separated from the world, and witnessing of His saving grace through the ministry of the Holy Spirit
-
The Biblical mandate of the Great Commandment and the Great Commission for all Believers to proclaim the Gospel and to disciple all nations.
